About the Blog

Write Where We Belong was founded in 2021. Its founding writers sought a platform to express their creativity and an outlet to share their writings with the world.
This group of amateur storytellers have a combined writing legacy spanning decades. From full length novels to short stories and poetry, the group came together to inspire and motivate other writers to do what they love.

Brian Dudley, Contributing Author

Brian has enjoyed writing for many years. Brian comes from a family of published authors and amateur writers. Brian has enjoyed writing various styles over the years, but has landed on a passion for both fantasy and historical fiction.

Growing up, Brian was engrained with a love for reading by his bibliophile parents and has maintained the passion throughout his adult life. Brian grew up enjoying the outdoors, often found playacting his favorite characters' adventures with his friends and family.

As an adult, the passion and drive behind Brian's writing has always been a love for his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Brian's drive is to share his love for creation and the wonderful world of imagination that God has given him.

A few of Brian's reading recommendations include authors Brian Jacques, John Flanagan, Christopher Paolini, and many others.

Artemis, Contributing Author

Artemis is a self-proclaimed sylvan with kind of duality that leaves passersby confused but oddly intrigued. Kind of like a first-ever sip of coffee. (It's an acquired taste.) A self-proclaimed paradox, she has a love for beauty and aesthetacism but also hiking, the outdoors, knives, guns, and all manner of activities seldom seen in a girl with a penchant for the arts and finery.

She's been writing since she could read and reading since she she taught herself how at age four. It might have begun with a staple-bound, hand-illustrated, sharpie edition of the original, "The Puppies Next Door," but she's 13 years into a casual writing of a multi-title fantasy series, some of which she hopes to share here on this blog.

With a passion for poetry and storytelling that delves beyond blazé facts and into the the hearts of her characters, she applies her real-life curiosity about what "makes people tick" to create a writing style that explores the inner psyche of her characters in a way not often seen. With a passion for undaunted femininity and emboldened masculinity, she hopes to continue creating a world of words where women in pretty dresses can indeed use swords and men aren't scared to be pretty.

The Scatterbrained Writer, Contributing Author

The Scatterbrained Writer is exactly what you would think. Various unfinished stories litter her various collection of writings. One day this writer hopes to finish a story she begins, but that day may be long coming. For now she is content to write various stories until one of them just keeps on going. Some will be long, some will be short, some will never be written at all. She hopes this will not be bothersome to some, and if a story gets enough attention she will consider requests to continue the plot.
The Scatterbrained Writer produces mostly fantasy fiction, and rarely some poems. But she hopes you enjoy what she has to offer.

Dr Whistlegrub, Contributing Author

Dr. Whistlegrub is a man who identifies as a garden trowel on Thursdays from 8-9 PM. He studied anthropology at Oxford for seven years before transferring and graduating from the Kansas City Community College in West Virginia. He owns two dogs, one turtle and way too many butter sculptures. His personal favorite movie is Pootie Tang and he is ashamed of that fact. He wishes to be Elon Musk when he grows up, but for now he writes things like this.
